In 55, he seems to be talking to an unhappy Peter. Is it not that Berryman?
Very interesting, indeed! I hadn’t read DS 55’s Peter as a Pan but like the suggestion. The Berryman poem that inspired this one was “The Ball Poem,” which is an early reflection on first loss and maturation.
